Over 10,000 lineworkers needed in next 10 years

Employment of electrical powerline installers and repairers is projected to grow 8% from now until 2033 - faster than the average for all occupations.

Over 10,000 openings for electrical powerline installers and repairers are projected each year, on average, over the decade. Many of those openings are expected to result from the need to replace workers who transfer to different occupations or exit the labor force, such as to retire.
